Our First On-Chain Contract
Everything began with our first smart contract:

This contract was our foundation, enabling creators to list and exchange NFTs in a decentralized environment. It wasn’t just code — it was a statement: builders need tools to operate autonomously on-chain. Without this marketplace, the DAO’s future ecosystem of bounties, tokens, and reputation badges wouldn’t have been possible.

STX Bounties
The launch of STX bounties marked our first attempt at on-chain incentives:

By rewarding contributors directly with STX, we created a feedback loop of trust and engagement. Early builders could now earn real value for their work, and every interaction on-chain contributed to a public reputation ledger.
Looking ahead, STX bounties will integrate with NOVA AI agents, allowing automated matching between tasks and contributors. Imagine AI agents scanning ongoing projects, identifying where contributions are needed, and pairing them with the right human or AI collaborator — all while updating reputation scores in real-time. This creates a hybrid on-chain/off-chain workflow that scales globally without compromising trust.

All Tokens and NFTs in Bounties
Next, we expanded to all tokens and NFTs, making bounties flexible and universal:

This step was critical: now, any token or NFT could carry value, be incentivized, and support collaboration, opening doors for diverse communities and projects.
In the future, these bounties will interact with AI agents capable of cross-chain and off-chain coordination. NOVA AI will be able to automatically distribute tasks, validate submissions, and even negotiate micro-bounties between humans and agents. The combination of AI intelligence and on-chain settlement makes scalable, trustworthy collaboration possible, even for projects that span multiple blockchains or real-world workflows.

First Reputation Badges
The introduction of reputation badges was the key step toward on-chain reputation & trust:

Badges allow contributors to prove their achievements publicly, creating portable reputation that moves across DAOs and platforms. Reputation becomes more than vanity — it’s currency for trust, collaboration, and opportunity.
Looking forward, NOVA AI will analyze on-chain reputation and off-chain contributions to provide augmented intelligence for project coordination. AI agents can suggest teams, mentor new builders, and even verify the credibility of contributions, while humans retain ultimate governance. This hybrid model amplifies trust, reduces friction, and unlocks large-scale decentralized collaboration.
